And it's not coffee.
First off, can we give me a pat on the shoulder for not waiting a small eternity between blog posts?! It's okay, I patted myself already.
If you've visited the cafe recently, you've likely noticed that our retail section has gained some square footage. Well, if it isn't obvious, there's a reason for that. I've been burning the midnight oil (or the 7pm oil, in my case) working on something and I can't keep it to myself anymore. Now I've likely created too big a build-up and what I'm about to say won't wow you whatsoever, but that's happened to all of us with blockbuster promises that were undelivered, so this shouldn't be as bad.
I've been spending some time sourcing out some really cool home goods for the retail corner at the cafe. I want everything to be bought in Canada and, while it took time, I found some awesome vendors and I'm so excited to bring their stuff to Kap! And most are women-owned so can I get a small ovation here, for the ladies, please.
Some of these awesome vendors have already shipped out the goods so they should arrive soon. These vendors include: Ten and Co. with their amazing swedish cloths (get ready to kick paper towel for good), Arrow it Forward Candles (which technically arrived but then sold in one day, so they're, once again, on the way), Mimi and August, who's reusable take-out cups are always a big hit, but they've got other really cool stuff that will soon grace our retail shelves, Made by Maggie is sending some really beautiful artwork of Canadian landmarks (and maybe one of Rose Apothecary because ya girl needs that in her life. PS. Get on the Schitt's Creek train already) and of course Pluck Teas.
I think that's it, for now. I hope you're as excited as I am (probably not, but still). Lots of ideas bouncing around my brain this fall and I can't wait to bring them all to life.
